5th Conference & Exhibition – Postponed

The Resources Training Council has postponed its upcoming 5th Conference & Exhibition, scheduled for 25-26 May 2020, in accordance with Government mandated restrictions announced today involving the COVID-19 Corona Virus.

We are very disappointed that we find ourselves in this situation and regret the inconvenience that has been caused by the extraordinary circumstances confronting everybody world-wide. We will be monitoring this pandemic carefully to determine the safest time to reschedule the conference, potentially later in the year.

2019 Queensland Mining Industry Health & Safety Conference

Resources Training Council (RTC) is proud to be exhibiting and presenting at the 2019 Queensland Mining Industry Health & Safety Conference to be held at Star Casino and Hotel Sunday 18th to Wednesday 23 rd August.

Course in Field-Based Training and Assessment (10235NAT)

Following the release of TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, it was identified that the qualification and / or competencies were not fit for purpose for the majority of workplace trainers and assessors in the resources sector.

After extensive research and negotiations, RTC has licenced the accredited Course in Field-based Training and Assessment (10235NAT) from Training Services Australia. This Course provides workplace trainers and assessors with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform effectively in these roles.

Anybody in training world (unless you are hiding under a rock) will be aware of the TAE 40116Certificate IV in Training and Assessment debacle.

From the limited number of RTOs registered to deliver the course, through to the great RTO’s that have been “knocked back”and have decided to walk away from this qualification, the training world has been tipped on its head

I won’t dwell on the inconsistency of the registration process that appears to focus on volume of learning whilst approving RTOs that will be delivering entirely online – how do they guarantee volume of learning requirements?
