Resources Training Council (RTC) is proud to be exhibiting and presenting at the 2019 Queensland Mining Industry Health & Safety Conference to be held at Star Casino and Hotel Sunday 18th to Wednesday 23 rd August.

RTC CEO, Heather Munro, said “We are honoured to be invited to present the safety training workshop again this year. The provision of information, instruction, training and supervision is an essential component of any risk management strategy. A robust training and assessment program is fundamental to the safety of not only those conducting tasks, but also other workers and people who may be affected by their work.”

Russell Moon – Sojitz Coal has joined the Executive Committee of RTC


With over 10 years of experience working in Safety &Training within the Resources Industry, Russell brings a wealth of talent and passion for quality training to the Executive Committee.

Russell has been an active contributor to RTCs Industry Network meeting during his current role with Sojitz and previous roles with Thiess Lake Vermont .

The CEO & other Excutive members welcome Russell to the team and look forward to his continuing contribution to the Council.

New CEO Appointed


The Executive of the Resources Training Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Heather Munro as its new Chief Executive Officer. Heather has served on the Executive Committee since the Council’s inception in 2011, and as President since 2015.

Heather was most recently VP – Customer Success with Tutis Operations, supplier to the resources industry.
